Fall Camp has come and gone!

We recently finished up fall camp at Camp Widjiwagan and it was awesome. We dealt with the issue of "storms" in our lives and how to deal with them. It was a great series for all of us to think about and go through together. We have had a lot of hardships within our group and it was really beneficial to hear from other people who also have had hard times and can come out and say God is good. We often can with head knowledge say that God is good but sometimes emotionally it is hard to feel that way. I think this weekend was a great time for all of us to come out with some of the things that we trully are dealing with at our core and get encouragement from one another to know that God is a good god. We also had a lot of great down time to do some activities throughout the day. Some of these activities included dodgeball, zip line, canoeing, & rip cord swing. The most active being dodgeball. All in all it was a great weekend and great community! Here are some more photos!

Fall Camp!

Storm Warning
It’s unavoidable… every one of us goes through storms. Sometimes the storms are big and cause lots of damage. Sometimes they rumble through and they are gone. So if a storm is going to happen .. whether it’s a death, a diagnosis, a divorce, or a break-up, how do you weather the storm? What do you hold onto when the storm hits?

Come join us this fall as we take our fall trip to Camp Widjiwagan with Brentwood Fellowship. We will be having two seperate camps for middle school and high school. Middle School's camp will be October 2nd-4th & High School's will be October 9th -11th. 85$ per student. Contact Chad @ cvinson@fbcrc.org or Will @ whitlocw@yahoo.com.

Summer Time!!

Semana Del Sol!
In case you were wondering what that banner was all about below, I think I am finally going to tell you. Semana del Sol was a summer camp that we took our middle school students on earlier this summer. It was a great time with all of the games, activities, and worship times for our students. A pastor from Fellowship up in Brentwood by the name of Ray Mckelvy spoke throughout the week about the story of Moses to our students. He did a great job and our students really connected to what he said, which was greatly encouraging. From all of the mud wrestling, water chugging, ultimate frisbee, beach volleyball, blobbing, & wiffle ball, we all had a great time and you can check out some of our photos from this trip on our website www.fbcrc.org.

Wanted
Every morning when you wake up you go. Why? You go because you want something. Maybe you want to please your friends. Maybe you want to make a difference in the world. Maybe you just want to know you matter. No matter what your motivation, it is driven by some kind of desire. Desire is what makes the world go around. So often we come to church and feel guilty about our desire. We try to make up for having desire or find ways to set our desires aside. But what if we looked at faith in a whole new way? What if desire was actually the beginning of a much better life in Christ?
